The camp is situated in Yoff, on the North coast of Senegal, only 10 minutes away from Dakar. The village is, like the whole country in an assembling process and spreads a special charm. Senegal is a third world country, accordingly the life is simple and original. For those who want to escape overfilled spots and the organized all-day life will find yourself here at the exactly right place. In the little village you will find all the necessary things like a bank, a pharmacy, shops, restaurants, internet coffee shops and bars. Besides surfing and yoga, there are a lot of great things to discover: The music scene is surprisingly big with lots of live concerts during the week. A wide range of beautiful arts and crafts are offered. Or do a trip to the rosecoloured saltsea (with the same characteristics like the Dead Sea or visit one of the National parks (not to recommend in Summer time because of the heat and Malaria risk). Other acitivities are tours on Camels, horseback riding at the beach, Quad riding, boattrips for fishing and Djembe lessons. You won't be bored for sure!
The surfhouse offers a familial atmosphere where music is played together or just hanging out together. It has double rooms with shared bathroom and double rooms with private bathroom (which can be rented as well as a single room for extra charge). It also offers a living room, small garden and terrace, which can be used by everyone. The team will serve you a big breakfast and the well-earned dinner in Senegal style, at the camp you unlimited drinking water for free.
The peninsula Almadies in Senegal, situated a bit outside of Dakar, is offering one of the biggest Swell-windows in the world. With 260° the peninsula is missing out nearly no swell. The single spots are not far away from each other and if the wind is blowing into your face on the northern coastline, its producing waves on the other side. The winter is offering the best conditions, because the same winter-swell the canaries is reaching Senegal. The Surfspot right by the camp is one of the best beachbreaks Senegal offers and is not only perfect for beginners, but also for adanvced surfers. For those who are looking out for pointbreaks, can find them in Dakar with the reefs Ngor, Ouaka or Alamdies.
Surf Season
For beginners the whole year round. For advanced surfers: the best months are from November until March.
Water temperature
In the Winter months around 11°C (wetsuit required), in Summer and Fall up to warm 27°C. The water is as cold, that you’re forced to become a friend of wetsuits. In autumn and summer board-shorts or a bikini will be fairly enough at 27°C water-temperature.
Surf course package
The surf course with 2 surfsessions daily includes all material. Beginners will learn surfing from the basics with theory and practice. Also for intermediate surfers this course is fitting, because it’s based on each personal level. Most time its taking place directly in front of the surf-house or you’ll drive with the 4WD to the spot which is most adapted to the level of the group.

Surf Safari package
If you’re already an intermediate surfer, and are able to surf the waves in both directions parallel, the guides will bring you the best spots Senegal serves. If reef-breaks around Dakbar or beach-breaks in the south or north, you’ll drive with the 4WD Jeep to the specific spot which accord to the level of the group.

Surfboard rental
Except for the Freesurf Package, the equipment is included in the package prices, board rental per day EUR 9 / wetsuit rental per day EUR 5. The rental has to be paid at the camp.
The airport of arrival is in Dakar. The airport transfer is always included in the package price. Just give us your flight details with the booking and we will organise the transfer for you.
Climate: The summer months can partly be very hot with temperatures up to 30° C. Water 18 - 22° C. In winter, temperatures are around 18 - 26° C and the water 17-22° C.
