The winter destination Laax in Graubünden is not only the largest ski area in the region, it is this place in the Alps, the consistently expanding the offer for its guests: The top priority in LAAX are freestylers: With the Snow Park we have a unique area for skiers, snowboarders & freestylers for beginners and pros.
Only 90 minutes from Zurich, LAAX offers boundless freedom on 235 kilometers of slopes, four snow parks and europes biggest halfpipe.
In addition you will find in the Freestyle Academy, the first indoor freestyle hall in Europe, trampolines, quarter pipe, ramps with foam pits - right at the base station in Laax. Under the guidance of experienced teachers you can safely practice jumps, rotations and flips before you try it later in the snow. Even with ski or snowboard on the feet you can jump to try and improve for the first time: The kickers are in different sizes and you will land safely in soft in foam pits. So, even if the lifts are closed - big jumps are still shown in Laax.
In the freestyle course, guests are accommodated in the Riders Palace: from the board right into bed. Directly at the valley station in Laax. Design in the Alps. Clear cubic architecture. Refined, functional and ecologically. Outside exposed concrete, glass and wood. The interior has design furniture, flat screens and high-end lighting installations in the lobby. And free Wi-Fi access.
Room categories
180°: The room category one-eighty offers 2-3 bunk beds (100x200cm), shower / WC separately, hairdryer, linen and towels, several magazines, separated by gender. If the room is not fully booked you will share the room with strangers. For a surcharge, the rooms can be occupied with less people. (Except for bookings over the and Christmas / New Years weekend).
360°: The room category three-sixty offers 2 bunk beds (100x200cm) and one loft bed for 1 person (100x200cm), LCD Full HD Monitor, beanbag "fatboy" or sofa, separate toilet / shower, hair dryer, bed linen and towels, lockable Locker, several magazines.
540°: The room category five-forty offers 2 sible beds (100x200cm) and one loft bed for 1 person (100x200cm), Sofa, separate toilet / shower, LCD Full HD Monitor, Playstation 3 Slim, small table, mini bar (non alcoholic), Nespresso coffee and tea station, fresh fruit bowl, a hair dryer, bed linen and towels, lockable Locker, several magazines.
Suiten:The suite is furnished with a double bed 200x200cm, sofa, toilet / bath / shower, "Philippe Starck" LCD Full HD Monitor, Playstation 3 Slim, surround sound system, lighting system by Zumtobel with individually adjustable colors, docking station, mini bar (non alcoholic) Nespresso coffee and tea station, kettle, fruit bowl, heater, hairdryer, bathrobe, local toiletries, bed linen and towels and sseveral magazines. 70 percent of the slopes are between 2000 and 3000 meters above sea level and so is LAAX from the beginning of December to mid-April one of the snowiest winter destinations in the Alps. The offer for freestylers at the destination LAAX is one of the best and most extensive in the Alps.
At the Crap Sogn Gion at 2228 meters above sea level, freestylers find heaven on earth: Up to 90 obstacles lining the four parks - the biggest freestyle resort in the Alps. With the biggest halfpipe in europe, the Super Pipe at the No Name Park in Crap Sogn Gion Laax attracts professionals of the scene again and again for training. The Burton European Open takes place in LAAX for the 14th time an gathers the world's elite Snowboarder and freestyler.
