Surf hotel
The Surf hotel is located in an exclusive location directly on the National park beach, and is about 150m from the Oyambre surf spot.

The hotel has eight large double bedrooms, each having a bathroom, TV and a writing table with sea or landscape views. In the lounge there is a fireplace, games, WiFi, a small library, dartboard, DVD player with surf and other films  all available for the guests, a spacious garden with a grill, sun terrace with hammocks and deckchairs, play area with Indoboard and slacklines.

Deluxe Camping
300 meters from the Surf hotel is a camping site, with stunning views. The camp offers large two person tents, can be used by singles with adequate space for two person, which allows you independence to cook and sleep, and still be close enough to the surfcamp to participate in its activities.

All of the five tents have beds with mattress, sheets, light and table and chairs, in the large kichen tent there is a gas cooker, fridge, cutlery pots and pans and electricity. There is also a supermarket, restaurant and cafe. Surfers living on the camping place can also use all the ammenities at the Surf hotel. Self catering is only for guest who live on the camping site, for the hotel guests are crew aims to supply top quality, fresh and healthy food. Guests can choose between the opulent breakfast buffet and a two course evening meal.

Surf

Playa des Oyambre and Meron are  fabulous long sand beaches, ideal for beginners and profis, the nearby Playa de Gerra( 3min by car) faces in a Northwesterly direction which means plenty of waves in summer.

Playa de Oyambre is sheltered from West or Nortwest winds, an ideal surfspot, depending on the wind and weather forecasts a visit to the nearby Los Locos 31 kilometers and the famous wave at Rodiles 85 kilometers, are definitely worth the ride.

The instructors at the surfcamp, are all ISA (International Surf  Association) trained to levels 1 and 2, and have years of experience  as surf teachers, the lessons are only given to small groups, the agenda depending on the level of each group.

Taster course

The beginner course is a short introduction to surfing, when you feel the urge to ride some more then you can extend your course (see beginners course).

Beginners course
3, 5 or 10 days, theory and practice (3-4 hours a day) incl. surfboard and wetsuit, video analysis and transfer to surfspots.
A practical step for step teaching method with many usefull interlocking theory and practice as well as body motion corrections, offering fun and facination and a perfect start to the art of surfing

Advanced course
3, 5 or 10 days, theory and practice (3-4 hours a day) incl. surfboard and wetsuit, video analysis and transfer to surfspots. On the first day the teacher checks on the students individual grades, to acces which type of instruction is required, Improvement, strategies and error detection are developed following each session with the help of video material.

Important: arrival and departure day is Saturday! All courses start on Sunday! Private lessons on request.

Surf board rental
In the surf course all inclusive and free surf package that Surf equipment  is included in the price. You can rent surfboards per week locally for EUR 19 per day or EUR 99. The wetsuit rent is per day EUR 8 or week EUR 39.

Airport transfer / arrival

Airplane
Possible airports are Bilbao and Santander. Saturdays will be offered an airport shuttle service to and from Bilbao and Santander. The cost is for Santander EUR 59 per tour, Bilbao EUR 139. The costs are shared by the occupants (max. 8 people). Tours on other days by appointment.

A cheap alternative is with the bus .There is a shuttle bus from the airport every 20-30 minutes  to the local bus stations from where you can take public transport to San Vicente de la Barquera. There you will be picked up free of charge. Bus and Ticket booking under www.alsa.es.

Car
The road network is excellent. Directions  can be requested with the booking confirmation.
