The small village Matanzas is in Central Chile and offers a relaxed atmosphere for surfers. Few hotels, small restaurants and the nice sandy bay invites to chill.
There is Mediterranean, dry climate in the area. The best travel time is the Chilean summer from October - April with temperatures between 12-29°C with seldom rain. During these months we recommend to book the surf guiding. The coldest time of the year is July and August, with 3-15°C and some rainy days.
A local surfer shows, explains and surfs with you the best waves in and around Matanzas. For intermediate to advanced surfers. Max. 3 surfers per guide, to guarantee the best support in the water.
After the surf sessions Matanzas offers many other activities: Yoga, massage, horse riding, sea-angling, mountainbike tour, tennis, wind surfing and a SUP tour around the seals island infront of the village.
