Panama "Santa Catalina Surfcamp"
Surfing, relaxing, snorkelling, scuba diving, boat tours and much more - the once small fishing village of Santa Catalina, on the Pacific coast of Panama, has developed in recent years and became a popular destination for surfers and divers. Perfect waves to find, both for surf newcomers as well as for absolute pros. Those who want to explore a breathtaking underwater world for a change, can take a snorkeling or diving trip to the island of Coiba, a nature reserve, which is about 1 hour away by boat.
In Santa Catalina itself are two small supermarkets, some local restaurants and various internationally oriented restaurants: Italian pizza, spanish tapas or argentinean grilled meat. The nightlife is limited to a few small bars for a leisurely sunset drink.

Surf
Depending on your level there are several surf spots in Santa Catalina - there's something for everyone: from absolute beginners to advanced surfers. Beginners and less experienced surfers are very well located at the beach break "Playa Estero". Advanced surfers find an excellent shaft with world-class reef break at "La Punta". We decide depending on your level at which spots the lessons or the guiding will be held.
The beach break is always in sight from our Surf Camp and is just a few steps away. The access point to the reef break can be reached on foot in a few minutes. Surf season in Santa Catalina is throughout the year. The water temperatures are warm enough all year round to surf without wetsuit.

Important
Climate: There are only two seasons in Panama: from mid / late December to April is dry season and from May to December is rainy season, the so-called "green time". Both seasons have their charms. The dry season offers pure sunshine and hardly ever rain. The waves are rather small, but the waves are often perfectly shaped through the offshore wind. The rainy season is usually not as bad as you imagine. It rains mostly in the afternoon or late at night and otherwise it is sunny and beautiful. Because of this the landscape is especially green and nice. There are often swells with big waves in the rainy season. The air and water temperatures are above 25 ° C throughout the year; so no wetsuit needed.
