Himmafushi, located 17 km north of the capital Male is a typical fishing island with about 750 inhabitants, sandy roads and palm trees. You can walk around the island in approx. 40 minutes and watch the locals going after their daily routine. Rather than staying in an isolated and sterile resort, you can find pure nature and interact with local families and expierence the fascinating culture of the Maldives and the warm hospitality of the Maldivians. This rare opportunity to discover the real Maldives and local life while surfing world class waves, this is what surfing is about. Not only surfing empty breaks and enjoying warm water, but also learning about the culture and people. As tourism on local islands is only possible shortly, thanks to changes in law by the new president of the Maldives, tourism on Himmafushi is just starting and developing. It doesn't matter if you want to relax, snorkel around or catch waves - all possibilities are there and at very moderate prices. There are 2 local restaurants and several shops having plenty supply for self-catering. You can catch fish yourself or get it fresh from local fishermen. For bigger shopping missions, trips to Male can be organised daily. Due to Islamic culture any consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited on the island!

Villa and Lodge are located next to each other. The spacious villa and the lodge have 4 double rooms each (so in total 8 rooms which can be booked as single, double or even 3-bed and 4-bed rooms). All rooms with ensuite bathroom and balcony. The two huge living rooms in the surf villa offer all entertainment gadgets like TV, DVD, Musicsystem and soccer table offer enough space for a big group. Relax in the pool while the BBQ is sizzling of the fresh fish. Guests staying in the lodge can hang out in the surf villas living room & pool area as well.
Maldives is known for its warm and clear water surf perfection. Every surfer has to see this place, many come every year. The North Male Atoll has 12 different surf spots with worldclass Lefts and Rights, reefbreaks. One of the most famous spot is Jailbreaks. The surf conditions are not recommended for beginners. For intermediate and advanced surfers, the waves are dreamlike and perfect for improving the skills.
1. Surfguiding package
Daily trips to the North Male Surf breaks will be arranged. Jailbreaks is even only a 10 minutes walk away from the campbase. The Surfguide is always there to organise the trips. Because the waves are not for beginners, no surf lessons are offered. The Surf-Package is only for intermediate and advanced surfers. Included in the package: 7 nights accommodation in double room with private bathroom & A/C, balcony and all meals, daily surf trips to North Male surf breaks.

The double rooms can be booked with an extra bed as 3 rooms.
Each guest has a day a bottle of water (1.5l) free of charge, coffee and tea can be made independently and in the refrigerator up snacks & soft drinks are at reasonable prices. Gladly the camp management also organizes trips to neighboring resorts to sometimes eating out on request.
Important: Due to the Islamic culture of the consumption of alcohol is strictly forbidden.
Surfboard rental
There are a few boards available at the campbase, but they are only in case of need if a board breaks or got lost at the airport. You need to bring your own surfboards!
Airport transfer / Arrival
The arrival airport is the airport in Malé, the Malé International Airport (MLE). The individualltransfer from the airport to Himmafushi can will be arranged on request.
The regular ferry from Malé to Himmafushi (15:00 Jetty no.1 - Saturday until Thursday). Retourn 8:00 from Himmafushi to Malé (daily from Sathurday - Thursday).
