The camp is located 80 km north of Lisbon and offers ideal surf conditions, for both beginners and advanced surfers, all year round. Within a radius of 5 kilometres you will find some of Europe’s best surf spots that break in different swell directions. In the summer months we have exclusive access to these waves, as we’re the only surf school who teaches directly on the beach! Our surf base is directly on the beach and hosts a very nice beach bar with views of the waves from a huge wooden terrace, a restaurant and surfboard storage. Enjoy the views over this beautiful bay while sipping some coffee or a drink. In the evening, we celebrate by hosting our renowned beach parties! You can choose between; accommodation with surf equipment, Surf Course Package, Guided Tour Package (only at off season possible) or accommodation only. The camp is open all year round and it’s just half an hour away from Peniche situated, known as one of the best party destinations in Portugal!
You can choose between two different types of accommodations:
Hostel accommodation:
The Hostel accommodation is the budget wise option. It is ideal for getting to know people from the world over, in a youthful and relaxed ambiance. The Baleal Hostel and the Baleal Hostel 2 are located just 150m and 100m from the beach, our Surfbase and various surf spots in Baleal, Peniche.
Hostel accommodation includes: sleeping in a shared dorm, linen & blankets, equipped kitchen for self catering, free WiFi, cleaning of the accommodation every second day.
Apartment accommodation:
All apartments are located a short walking distance to the beach and our surf school. A short wallk is all you have to do to meet your surfing friends...Surfing in Peniche and staying in a comfortable apartment or villa has never been easier.
The twin room accommodation is our most comfortable option. It’s ideal for couples, families, and groups of friends that appreciate comfort and less busy lodges. In these apartments you sleep in a shared twin room or get a room all to yourself and only share the house.
Twin room accommodation includes: shared twin room, hand & shower towels, bed linen and blankets included, equipped kitchen for self catering, free internet access, cleaning of the accommodation every two days.
The long sandy beach of Baleal offers perfect conditions for beginner to advanced surfers. 10 minutes by car, there's the famous wave "Supertubos" where surfing pro's from all over the world compete on competitions every year!
We offer surfing lessons for beginners, intermediate and advanced surfers, wanting to learn or improve their surfing level! From Monday to Friday we teach you four hours per day. We either host surf lessons at the beach directly in front of the surf base or else we take you to explore the surrounding surf spots by camper van.

The price includes the chosen accommodation, bed linen and towls, free internet access at the reception, wifi in the surf center, transportation on arrival & departure from Peniche central bus station (3-7 pm), surf course incl. material (wetsuit and surfboard), video analysis and the camp’s personal sports insurance. 7- and 14-day packages also include: 1surf trip, beachvolley games, trip to a surf factory, Welcome-Box.
2. Chill-package:
If you like to surf on your own and enjoy the company of other surfers, staying with you in the accommodation. The hostel accommodation is the more economic option, with shared rooms, double/twin room can be booked for a surcharge. The apartements offer a more relaxed and luxury accommodation in double/twin rooms, single rooms can be booked for a surcharge (prices see below).

From the latest check-in time till 23:30, there's a surcharge of 10 EUR per person. After 23:30 we do not accept check-ins.
Check in is available the following day from 9.00 in the morning, only for the customers that have missed their check on the previous day.
