Accommodation

Only 100m from the beach, the Surf-Lodge accommodates up to 25 people in single-, double- and triple-rooms, all of them with bathroom and some of them with balcony. There is heating installed for those few cold nights in winter.

The big garden comes with a relaxing-area with hammocks, table-tennis, slack-line and Indo-Board. There are mountainbikes available at no extra cost to explore the hinterland. In the in-house Surfer-Bar one can challenge the Darts-machine or have a beer with the crew. For those who forgot their books at home there are some good reads in the library. Of course free WLAN is available as is a public computer with internet-connection.

The surf camp kitchen offers a full board package with breakfast, packed lunch and dinner service. In addition, there's also some restaurants and bars in the area - including the local lovingly furnished "Las Dunas" (about 15 minutes walk).

Surf

The perfectly oriented cape of Trafalgar offers many surfing-opportunities for all levels of surfing, from the total beginner to the advanced wave-warrior. Especially during winter-time, the 210°-degree-swell-window provides perfect waves within a 200m distance. The beginner will stay in the protected beach of Caños de Meca while the more advanced migh give it a go on the famous left-hander in front of the lighthouse or the more open beach of „Cala Isabel“ with its wedge-like right-hander.

There are plenty of more surfing-opportunities in close proximity. From the rivermouth-wave in Barbate to the well-known beach-break of El Palmar with its perfectly shaped sandbanks. Even with its prevailing offshore-winds and consistent waves during winter, the Costa de la Luz is still widely unknown within the international surfing community.

So much for so less: The Surf-Specials include a week accommodation in a cozy 3-bed-room and a five-day surf course (20 hours).

Clothe: During the night it can cool down to 3-4 degrees in quite exceptional circumstances. Sometimes it can also be quite windy, especially when the Levant, the east wind, blows and brings dry and cool air with it or the Poniente, the west wind, with its humid air and often also rain. Therefore Weatherproof clothing belongs to the basic equipment of the Andalusia-travelers in the winter.
Transfers: From Jerez Airport transfers are available (08:00am to 21:00pm: EUR 50.- and 9:00pm to 08:00am: EUR 70.-). The transfer rate is per way and can be divided among the ride-on person. From other airports you can go by bus to Barbate. From there, a shuttle is provided to the camp.
Age: average age approximately 30 years
Activities: Out of surfing you can breathe the authentic, southern Spanish flair in the close cities Conil de la Frontera, Cadiz and Seville or join a whale-watching tour. There are also opportunities for diving, horse riding, light aircraft flying and golfing.
