For over ten years now, Peniche has been a magic attraction for surfers from all over the world. Within a perimeter of 5 miles, some of Europe's best surf spots can be found, featuring a whole variety of swell directions. If, on top of that, you are eager to get to know one of the most fascinating coastal cultures of Europe, the Baleal surfcamp is most likely what you are looking for.
It is situated some 80 km north of Lisbon (at 5 km from Peniche) and offers ideal conditions for beginners and advanced surfers during the summer months. Our qualified surf instructors speak English and French. The package entails, among other things, accommodation with a view of the ocean and a surf base of 300 meters in length with a legendary bar. The surf base is situated a mere 100 metres from the surf house. Camp participants are mainly snowboarders and ocean lovers from all over Europe. The famous beach parties take place at Bruno's bar several times a week from July to September.
You will stay at a lovely 4-room house in a double room (Package A), ideal for couples and high-profiled surfers. Only from June 30 - September 8.
Package B is designed for young surfers who are prepared to share the room with strangers. Two to six people, depending on the room size.
Package C includes only accommodation (B) and airport transfers.
Accommodation:
All that separates the surf house (B) from the beach is a road. It has a large kitchen for all, a chill-out room, TV, a big terrace with BBQ facilities, mountain bikes and an Internet room.
Surfing:
Our surf coaches will always be on hand to help you in the theory and practice and deal with your individual requests. Lessons from Monday to Friday, 2 hours a day. You will be able to explore nearby spots with a campervan. Camp participants are entitled to use the equipment at any time without additional cost.
The price includes :
chosen accommodation, surf lessons including equipment and transfers to the spots (except for Package C), individual sport insurance provided by the camp.

Rental car: not required for camp participants. Can be booked at Sudden Rush and picked up at Lisbon airport
