Flight bookings and sports baggage

All flights can be requested and booked via Sudden Rush.

For departures from Switzerland, we book flights through our partner STA Travel. The team always strives to offer the shortest and cheapest flight. Our flight partner Tobis Travel Solutions in Innsbruck, which specialises in worldwide air traffic, is primarily responsible for the organisation of all flights for our European customers.

In order to be able to offer a flight without obligation, we need the following data when registering:

  • Name as specified in the passport
  • Date of birth
  • Travel time and dates
  • desired departure point

Information about sports baggage on flights

For excess and special baggage such as surfboards, the costs of airlines vary in costs. This also applies to all other sports baggage that exceeds the baggage allowance limits or their mass. In principle, it is recommended to check with the appropriate airline early enough when booking and to register your luggage. All information without guarantee.

1 boardbag can be checked in as a free bag. The airline must have at least one 24h before departure.
If the number of free bags is exceeded, a boardbag will charge EUR 70 / CHF 80. JustFly tickets do not allow sports baggage.
Air France

Surfboards between 107 and 300cm can be abandoned. The price varies depending on the route and is only valid oneway.
Customer service must be informed at an early stage. The costs must be paid directly at the airport (prepayment not possible).
Air New Zealand
free
1 boardbag up to 2m length can be checked in as a free piece of baggage. Several boards in a boardbag are allowed.
Boardbags with a length between 2-2.5m can also be placed at early registration.
American Airlines
USD 42.50-150
For boards from 157cm to max. 320cm length will be charged USD 150. Several boards may be stored in one boardbag.
For flights to/from/via Brazil, the first board will charge USD 42.50 and each additional USD 85.
