Quick Facts
Overview
The Surf & Yoga Camp is a relaxed guest house in the south of Sri Lanka, which offers daily yoga classes, surf coaching, surf shop, café, surf shop and good mood in addition to the accommodations!
The property is located at the third bay of Mirissa, at the quiet end of the otherwise busy Mirissa Beach. The beautiful little bay invites you to snorkel, sunbathe and sea bath or simply to read a book under the palm trees. With a short beach walk, you can reach the main beach with many restaurants comfortably on foot, or you make a short hike to the left of the coast to experience another beach, a temple or the sunset from the hill.
There are three surf spots right in the bay in front of the property, and in the neighbouring bays with Parrot Rock Break and Mirissa Beach and Point Breaks additional spots, so a wide selection of waves is offered for each surf level.
4 REASONS FOR A SUDDEN RUSH SURF TRIP TO MIRISSA:

Surf

Coaching
From the beautiful surroundings of the guest house, the nearby surf spots, the certified surf coaches/guides to the equipment: the team strives for the highest regional standard to enable guests to enjoy an unforgettable stay and get the most out of their surfing.
The surf programs are comprehensive, as they not only involve a lot of surfing but also allow rapid progress thanks to video analysis and theory course. Each surf session is progressive and goal-oriented and at the end of the surf session, the coach gives each participant personal feedback.
Care is taken to ensure that the different surf levels are not mixed and the maximum ratio of 4:1 (student: coach) also guarantees individual coaching.
Location and surf check
The south-west coast of Sri Lanka is a wave garden with more than 15+ surf spots in the immediate vicinity of the camp, with most spots within 10 minutes.
Every morning a surf check is made and decides which spot is to be driven. Spot selection depends on factors such as the performance level of each group and the swell conditions. This way, the right spot is found for every surf level on a daily basis.
Your first surfing lesson
The very first surfing experience is a special moment and it is important to start the surfer’s life in a suitable environment with appropriate conditions. The place of the first surfing lesson is, therefore, the Weligama Beach Break: This is one of the most beautiful beginner surfing beaches in the south of Sri Lanka. The water is warm, perfect sandy soil, no currents, and calm water make this the ideal starting point to start your surfing holiday with positive experiences.
Yoga
Yoga complements surfing in many ways. It strengthens three main abilities that every beginner should develop in the medium term: upper body strength, stamina and flexibility. Regardless of age, size or fitness level, the yoga program is suitable for all levels of experience from beginner to advanced; the yoga teacher adjusts the poses to your abilities.
Yoga is practiced on the meadow in the shade of palm trees or on the terrace, for Sunset Yoga also on the cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean including the sunset. And a new and exciting addition is Aerial Yoga, which takes place daily on the roof overlooking the jungle!
