Overview

Here you will be welcomed in charming guest houses to experience a unique stay in Morocco with like-minded people, accompanied by unforgettable surf, yoga, and food moments. Imsouane is located about 3h north of Agadir and is located in one of the most beautiful bays in Africa: The Magic Bay.

The philosophy: to preserve the spirit of the golden age of surfing, away from the beaten track and commercial clichés of surfing marketing. From our point of view, the “sport of kings” is also a wonderful way to get to know new people. Sharing, discovering, enjoying and respecting the elements are the four values on which your journey is based.

4 REASONS FOR A SUDDEN RUSH SURF TRIP TO IMSOUANE:

  1. Surf the longest wave of your life
  2. Perfect combination of professional surf and yoga sessions
  3. Full board and structured weekly program for a unique Morocco experience
  4. Large selection of accommodation, all directly on the bay and with ocean view

Surf

Imsouane is an absolute dream destination for surfing! Imsouane is particularly famous for the large main bay, which is home to Morocco’s longest wave. If you catch the wave perfectly, from the harbour to the last stretch of beach, you can surf up to 600m! There is a surf spot for each level and you can surf at any time of the day, regardless of the tide. And thanks to the sandy ground, the bay is also suitable for beginners and intermediates. On the other side of Imsouane is “the cathedral” with a right and left peak as well as “the riff”, both with slightly stronger waves (on reef) and therefore perfect for advanced surfers.

Surf Season & Levels

Beginner: all year round, as the bay of Imsouane is the perfect place for beginners with sandy soil and plenty of space to practice. If it is too big or too small, you will drive to a suitable spot in the area.

Intermediate: September to June is a great time when you’re looking for medium to large waves to improve your skills. July and August are usually hot and rather small days (even some flat days). But you can often still surf on a longboard.

Advanced, independent surfers: The winter months (December to March/April) promise constantly larger swells. From December to March/April (partly also May) you have a very good chance to find Morocco’s famous pointbreaks in top form! As always, the longer your stay, the higher the chance to experience the perfect surf.

The surf school offers the following services:

  • Surf lessons for beginners, intermediates and advanced with ISA-certified instructors
  • Small groups of max. 6 people (according to your level)
  • Surf lessons for children
  • High-quality surfboards
  • Wetsuits for surf lessons
  • Surf theory

Surfguidings and Surfaris are also available for advanced surfers. And with the appropriate swell, it is possible to book exclusive surf boat trips to remote spots (reservation & payment is made directly on site).

Yoga
Yoga classes are offered daily to suit your personal needs. Yoga is a perfect match for surfing; with consistent practice you will find that your concentration and balance improves both on the mat and on the surfboard.

The in-house, experienced and certified yoga instructors are themselves surfers and guide you through an hour of relaxation. The courses are adapted to your needs, e.g. Yin Yoga for tired souls after an intense surf day or Vinyasa Flow for those who want to develop their yoga skills. The yoga lessons are included in the surf camp package, as are the yoga mats and the breathtaking view over Magic Bay. Prior knowledge is not necessary, so beginners are welcome.
