Surfing and Snowboarding combine the gliding on water. No matter if it’s s frozen or not you can draw lines and execute various tricks on both elements. A surfer in Switzerland has two options, he can take the plane or else surf the riverwave in Bremgarten, normally only possible after some heavy rainfall.

A lot of snowboarders go surf in the summer months. They learn and practise the art of surfing in both the Atlantic and the Pacific Ocean. Now for the first time ever boarders have the possiblity to compete in their homecountry Switzerland. The NOKIA SNOW AND SURF will take place for the first time in history. Snowboarding and Surfing combined in one competition. On one day spinning 720ies in the halpipe of Titlis/Engelberg, snowboarders will show some turns on the riverwave in Bremgarten the day after.

The „Nokia Snow and Surf 2003“ is presented to you by Ruedi Herger and Chris Bachmann. Both follow the International Snowboardtour since a long time and share their passion for Surfing. Ruedi Herger manages the Santa Cruz Snowboard Team successfully since many years and Chris Bachmann, owner of Sudden Rush is known as speaker/host of Freestyle-Events and Extremsport TV-Shows.

Not only the actual riders will find great pleasure at this event, also the public can follow the action and cheer from no distance. Stars and Action on a high level! That is why this event will not only attract a big crowd, further more we await a big interest by the media.

The aim is to combine these two boardsports in one event and to life up to the freestyle at it’s roots. Next to the open judging we really count on a strong come together of the Freestyle-Scene. The offical party with a life gig and International Dj’s on Saturday evening will give the whole event an additional lifestyle touch, where the public, riders and the stars meet for a great night out!
