SPAIN "suddenrush’s raz surfcamp" Razo is located at a virginal five kilometres long sand beach that is one of the most renowned surf spots in Spain due to its constant summer swells. Enjoy the constant summer swells at one of the most renowned surf spots in Spain. The Razo Camp was founded - believe it or not - 17 years ago. Besides the pioneer work in regard to surf camps this place offers today a complete and positive introduction to surfer life. Here practical training combines video analysis, coordination techniques, workshops for board-shaping and repair, small championships and unforgettable freesurf sessions. Besides wave riding you can select activities like Capoeira (master at the Camp!), beach volleyball, ping-pong, soccer - you’ll never be bored! “While in the area, it is well worth paying a visit to La Coruña, an ancient Roman town and second largest port in Spain boasting the oldest active lighthouse in the world, as well as to the famous pilgrimage city Santiago de Compostela, a UNESCO World Heritage Site”. Accommodation The camp installations are located outside the small village Razo – just 50 metres away from the sea, exactly where the best waves of the beach break. You hear the roaring sea when you go to sleep in rooms for two, three or four people and during the day you watch the waves. Besides all that, there is at the camp a surf shop, a bar and a large outside terrace with ocean view. Surfing Surf stars like Dani Garcia (one of Europe’s best big wave riders) and Pablo Solar (second at the EPSA 2001 European Championship) were among the surf teachers at the camp. All instructors are licensed by the FGS - Federation Galician Surfing. They convey their knowledge about waves, currents, tides, correct behaviour etc. in Spanish and English. Surf course 2 h per day. Gony Zubizarreta, the ISA Juniors World Champion of 2002, also started at the age of eleven years at the RAZ Camp with surfing, a real quality seal! The camprate includes Accommodation at the camp, airport transfers or transfer from/to the train station La Coruña and/or Santiago de Compostela (from 12 P.M.), two h surf training per day, 3 meals per day, all material (even outside the lessons), camp insurance.
