Any surfer travelling to South Africa must have seen Durban. The Natal coast is consistently spoiled with good swells and you surf in the winter months from April to September rather large waves. During this time the water temperatures are comfortably warm and the early offshore winds of the day blow rather strongly.
Of course people surf Durban all year round, but the summer months are more dominated by wind swells. Ideal for beginners! Even advanced surfers get their kicks during this time, because from November until April the cyclone swells hit the Natal coast.
The Vulamanzi Surf Camp lies 65 km to the south of Durban in a tropical forest directly on the beach. The view from your room in the tree-house offers a right point break whose wave runs endless. More than 9 spots are accessible within one hour. This offer incl. 6 nights w. breakfast, airport transfers and 5 guided day tours. In comparison with Durban here the waves are higher and the rides over the sandy floor and riffs longer! This package addresses primarily individuals who got some surf experience.
