The Pacific coast of Costa Rica makes every surfer’s heart beat faster: guaranteed constant surf, year-round neoprene-free in 27-degree warm water, against breathtaking scenery in unique flora and fauna.
Just a few minutes from the famous spots of Santa Teresa and Mal Pais, the surf camp is located on Playa Hermosa, one of the quietest, most beautiful and cleanest beaches in Costa Rica. Whether comfortably pushing swell for beginners or steep walls and barrel rides for advanced riders – this dreamlike beach break, surfable at any tide, offers ideal conditions for every level.
A two-minute walk separates you from the waves and the white sandy beach. Without having to adapt to a shuttle bus schedule, you can schedule your sessions freely and independently. Surf whenever you feel like it. Be at the deserted dream beach before sunrise and experience picturesque sunsets at the end of the day. Check the waves at any time of the day or take a relaxing break in the hammock or in the camp pool.
Surfing takes place here on two coastlines: the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. Costa Rica has a tropical climate with two seasons and always warm water. You can confidently leave your wetsuits at home. The rainy season lasts from May to October with clear morning and evening showers. The dry season starts in November and ends in April with sunshine all day long.
In addition to surfing and the coast, costa Rica has many other adventures such as white water rafting, bungee jumping and canoeing tours through the rainforest. Costa Rica is home to many national parks and protects the volcanic regions with their famous rainforests and biodiversity. But in the end, it is the “diamond-dust beaches” and the probably unique marine fauna that attracts surfers to Costa Rica.
